FACILITIES

The Remote Sensing and GIS Unit is facilitated with one training room. About 20 participants can be accommodated in this training room. The training room is equipped with high performance desktop PCs, LCD Projector, smart board and other basic training facilities. All computers have minimum configurations of intel@core i7-3770 3.4GHz Processor, Memory: 8GB Dual Channel DDR, 2TB Hard Disk and VEGA 4GB.

The entire Water Research Center building is covered with Wi-Fi connectivity. The desktop computers are connected to internet via LAN connections.

The unit owns license for latest and powerful RS/GIS software products such as ArcGIS 10.1 and ENVI 5.0. The computers are installed with Windows 7 Professional with service pack 3
